1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShipChanges (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ShipChanges is a changelog generation platform that connects to your GitHub repositories, analyzes code changes, and produces automated changelogs using artificial intelligence. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers.

3. Account Requirements

  • You must have a valid GitHub account to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Use automated means to access the Service beyond what we provide (API abuse).
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your code and repository content. Changelogs generated by the Service are owned by you. ShipChanges retains ownership of the Service, its design, branding, and underlying technology.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

  • The Free plan is available at no cost with usage limits.
  • The Pro plan is billed monthly. Prices are displayed at checkout and may vary by currency.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

8. AI-Generated Content

Changelogs are generated using artificial intelligence based on your code diffs. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and approving changelog content before publishing.

9. Limitation of Liability

ShipChanges is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
